State's Attorney
The Kingsbury County State's Attorney serves as the chief legal representative for the State of South Dakota within Kingsbury County and is responsible for prosecuting criminal offenses that occur within the county. Working closely with local law enforcement agencies, the State's Attorney reviews criminal cases, represents the State in court proceedings, and helps ensure that justice is administered fairly and in accordance with South Dakota law.
In addition to criminal prosecutions, the State's Attorney provides legal counsel to county officials and departments on a variety of legal matters as authorized by state law. The office is committed to protecting the rights and safety of the public while upholding the law with integrity, professionalism, and respect for the judicial process.
